Gymming Advice

Starting at the gym can feel a little overwhelming, especially when you don't really know where to start.

You don't need to spend hours at the gym or know how to use every machine before you can make progress. The most important thing is finding a routine that works for you and that you can actually stick to.

Here are a few of my simple gymming tips:

Don't try to do everything in your first week. Give your body time to adjust, especially if you're new to exercise or returning after a break.

Walking into the gym without knowing what you're going to do can make your workout feel much harder than it needs to be. Decide beforehand what you're focusing on — whether it's a full-body workout, legs, upper body, cardio or something else.

Everyone's fitness journey is different. Someone who has been training for years will naturally be able to do things that a beginner may not be able to do yet.

Focus on your own progress.

Drink enough water, warm up before exercising and give your body time to recover. Rest days are part of your routine too.

And don't forget that your food and overall lifestyle also play a role in reaching your goals.

You don't have to have a perfect workout every time. Some days you'll have more energy than others.

What matters is getting back to it and staying consistent over time.

You don't need to know everything before you start. Learn how the equipment works, learn proper form and gradually become more comfortable in the gym.

If you're not sure where to begin, I've put together my free Gym Quick Guide with simple information to help you get started.
